Customer Support Specialist - Chinese & English

We’re looking for a Chinese and English Speaking Customer Support Specialist to join our team as soon as possible.

About Lingvist

The Lingvist mission is to develop learning technology that enables radical improvement in human learning efficiency.

The prototype for Lingvist was developed by our CEO as a hobby project at CERN, while working as part of the team that discovered the Higgs boson. After showing the prototype to the core engineers who built Skype and changed the world with video calls, they co-founded Lingvist to make the next big thing happen in the EdTech space.

This technology has initially been applied to language learning, growing organically to 1M ARR and demonstrating exceptionally strong product metrics. Our long-term vision is to outscale this technology to other fields of education and accelerate human learning in almost any field – to make a massive positive impact on the world.

We are looking for a Chinese and English Speaking Customer Support Specialist to join our Customer Support team and collaborate closely with other teams within the company.

You will:

  • Commit to providing the best support to our customers in Chinese and English languages
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries and feedback through email and social media channels
  • Acknowledge and resolve user complaints, and identify when an issue requires escalation
  • Know the Lingvist product inside out, so that you can answer questions efficiently
  • Periodically provide overviews of user requests, complaints, and feedback to other teams
  • Be the voice of the customer internally to help everyone in the company understand our users better
  • Handle app store reviews and ratings. Basic understanding of app search optimization would be beneficial, but not necessary.
  • Work closely with other teams within the company

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer support
  • Writing proficiency in English & Chinese (Simplified). Knowledge of any additional language that we serve is a plus (German, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Japanese, Estonian, Polish, Dutch)
  • Ability to compose written responses in a fast and professional manner
  • Ability to describe an issue/solution in a concise and precise manner
  • Analytical and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Desire to make things better for our users / customer-first orientation
  • An interest in language learning would be preferred
