Sneak peek... A new Hub + Practice Area

  • works@Lingvist

Hey guys! We have been REALLY busy behind the scenes. Although the bun in the oven isn't quite done yet, we wanted to give you an update and a sneak preview. 😉

Soonish, when you are sitting down in the morning with a hot cup of coffee, to tend to your language learning habit, you will open your Lingvist App and a new hub will be greeting you. From this new hub, you can choose to enter into the wonderful world of learning vocabulary - just the way you are used to it.

There will also be a second button, however, which takes you to the PRACTICE AREA. Many of our users that have been learning languages with us for quite a while, have been asking where the reading and listening sections are? Well, we are not bringing the same content or format back - BUT we are finally starting to bring you real-world content, exercises and activities to supplement your learning in addition to vocabulary. Of course, all closely tied in with AI and our smart Algo. It’s still a work in progress and not everything will be ready at the same time. Speaking exercises for English as target will be first off the rack and are just being finalised.

Let us know what you think!

Hi @michael! Lingvist Unlimited users will be able to read and listen to their heart's desire while Lingvist Free learners will have a daily cap on the number of exercises they can do. We'll be sharing more details on what Lingvist Unlimited and Free will include in the coming weeks.

Will this fall under the paid content in 2018?

  • works@Lingvist

Hi @João-Dinis the old content was discontinued, but don't worry. We are preparing the app for something a lot better! We fully recognize the importance of training reading and listening skills.

  • Isn't there the possibility to access the old English>French reading and listening content? It was really useful!
Thank you and congratulations for the awesome job
