Why can't I use declaró here?

Why can't I use declaró here?

'cause it's one character longer.

So Lingvist doesn't want us to learn the language, it wants us to memorize the exact answer based on the exact question? If so then is there a way for me to get a refund on my unlimited subscription?

Declaró would be correct in a specific context (a court, a police questioning). For this example sentence, it's preferable to choose a more general term (afirmar). We will modify the translations provided in order to make this specific card less confusing.
