Thank you for the updates.

We are using Braintree (a PayPal company) services to process all bank card transactions. They are one of the big payment providers out there.

They are based in Europe, so as we, so for people in USA the transactions will seem as international.

Thank you for raising this issue. We are sorry for showing to you a wrong message.

We are unfortunately showing to you a wrong message after you have done your 50 free new words on a given day.

We mistakenly show to you "end of course" message, although we should show a message which says that you have hit your daily free words limit.

We are working on fixing the problem.

If all goes well then we are able to do a product update with a fix on Monday.

Anirudh you can pay also with debit cards which have online payments enabled. Nowadays more and more debit cards have them enabled. Easy way to check if your card has online payments enabled is to see if the card has on the back side 3 digit security code (CVV), if the code is there then you can pay on internet.

Michael and Jack. I see that most failed payments are caused by a reason that the card issuing bank has declined the payment. The reason for decline could be that you don't have enough money on your account, don't allow international payments, you have exceeded limits, fraud prevention etc. You should contact your bank and ask for a reason from them.

We are aware of the issue of showing out Lingvist Unlimited status incorrectly after disabling further payments.

The issue affects most severely Webapp and iOS app where subscription screen is empty. On Android it displays out subscription with information leaving assumption that it's not cancelled.

We will update the client apps soon to get it fixed.

You do not loose the premium when you disable the future payments. We have a bug in displaying out your subscription information in the my account view.

We are working already on fixing this bug.

Can you please both give to me your phone's exact model number?

Also please state if you have altered the phone firmware in any way.

I have had few other complaints on this issue, but for them we have managed to detect that the other affected people used phones which did not had from factory Google Play and Google API's installed.

This can happen mostly on two occasions

  • Person buys a phone meant for Chinese local market
  • Phone has third party firmware installed.

Would like to figure out if it's the same trouble your affected with or something else.
